User hierarchy
Common Workspace related user roles
Owner Highest user level. Has the access to all the functions of the app. Owner account can only be removed by another owner. Workspace owner has the same rights as the channel manager in the public channels. |
Admin Administrator has the right to edit all of the settings and control users. However, admin does not have the access to the private channels, that they are not members of. Admin has the same rights as the channel manager in the public channels. |
Basic user role. Has the right to create proposals, comment, react and create new channels. Admin can limit user access to the features mentioned above. User has an access to all the public channels and to those private channels that they are a member of. |
Guest Channel specific guest user with access to only to the channels they’ve been invited by the channel managers or owners. Inviting guests is not allowed in the workspace by default. To allow the inviting of the guests, Workspace owner or Admin has to allow the invites in the Workspace settings. |
Channel- related user roles
A role that the user automatically gets when creating a channel. Channel owner has the option invite other users as owners to the channel. Channel owner role can only be changed by an other owner the channel or a workspace owner. |
Channel manager Channel owners can set out channel managers who have the access to the proposals, settings and members of the channel. |
Basic user that can participate in channel activities by reacting and commenting the proposals. In an open channel all of the members of the workspace have the same rights, even if they weren’t separately added to the channe. In private channels, members need to be separately invited to the channel. |
